"My mother, Sarah, is 88 years old, and has been enrolled in the Elder Service Plan for three years. Previously she had private care physicians, including a geriatric care specialist, but was not responding well to the infirmities of aging. Not only is she receiving excellent medical care from Elder Service, she is also being psychologically and socially supported, which has improved her outlook and helped her cope with her medical problems. Continuity of care is very important to my mother and me, and at the Center she is treated as an individual, not as a group of illnesses, by people who know her and who seem to genuinely care for her. The staff at the Center has relieved me of a lot of my stress concerning her everyday health needs."
